About 1880-81 the Pahitere Blockhouse was relocated to its present location by Frederick and Emily Morris and became their family home. They resided in the house until about 1888 when they shifted into the villa across the road. The property remained in the Morris family until about 1939 when it was taken over by Mr Allie Wood, who remained on the farm until 1952, when it was taken over by Mr H. E. (Buck) Henchman.

Frederick and Emily were our Great Great Grandparents.
